Reach Out You Bully

Even worms move the earth
So shift faults, failures and blame to yourself
Use your hand not to hit but create mirth

Hold pen to paper, and enlighten your demons

Keep in mind your self-righteousness
A dire expression of self-hatred
Transformed into unsocial rudeness
Propagated in the absence of self-respect

Use your tongue not to demean others, instead
Express the meaning of words, to relate
So punish your thoughts of hatred

And dignify your place in the world

An intrinsic listener, not beating your drum
But closing the chasm between what you are
And what you truly could become
A humble partner by the side of your victim

No longer the incarnation of a narcissist
But a confessor of your delusional sense of superiority
Exposing the guilt from your inner masochist
You reach higher not lower, to find a desire

For courage, hope and love, then teach
Now a champion of the fine art of empathy
Only then, only then will you reach
The infinite depths of the human spirit

Understanding becomes who you are
A hefty thinker, hell-bent on feeling what others feel
A self-control befitting an admired star

A confidence of self and others

Rise to this sense of worthiness
And you will not take
The road to self-destructiveness
But dreams of a future an autonomy of self

It is, oh so superior
To the black hole of bullying
No longer a selfish beast, inhumane and inferior

Peace at last, with yourself and others
